Lyncourt's Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program

We offer a full day Universal Pre-Kindergarten program for four year olds, Monday through Friday from 8:20 AM to 2:44 PM.  Children need to be four years old before December 1 to qualify for the program. The program is free for residents of the Lyncourt School District.

We accept 36 students annually for the program. Remember, with only 36 available openings anually, it is important to register as early as possible.  We have 2 UPK classrooms (18 students in each).

Instilling a love for school and learning is at the heart of our preschool program. We provide a safe, structured, inclusive setting that supports, encourages and inspires each child.  We believe that children learn best through meaningful play is reflected in a child-centered program that integrates the physical, cognitive, social, emotional, language, self-help and aesthetic areas for total development of each child.

Why Enroll Your Child in UPK?

Universal Pre-K promotes academic success and greater achievement.  It can boost future achievement and develop social skills necessary for children to be successful in school and life.

Parent Involvement

Parents are a child's first teacher and an integral part of all the Lyncourt School programs.  We welcome parent volunteers in the classroom and encourage parents to support their child's love of reading.

We follow the district's calendar for start and end time, as well as holidays, school breaks, staff professional development days, etc.

If students live on our bus route, they will be bussed. (as long as they have turned 4 years old)

If students do not live on our bus route, parents need to bring and pick up their child daily.
