2026 - 2029 Instructional Technology Plan Goals

1. Family Engagement - Digital Use (Communication)

By June 2029, Lyncourt UFSD will improve PreK-8 family engagement and understanding of academic interventions, school curriculum, and student learning updates by optimizing targeted, multilingual digital communication platforms (ParentSquare) and hosting regular family technology-literacy sessions. Success will be measured by achieving a 90% active adoption rate on the district communication platform (ParentSquare), and by increasing parent awareness of available support services from the 2024-25 baseline of 20% to at least 50% as measured by the annual SCEP Parent & Family Survey.

2. Computer Science and Digital Fluency - Digital Use (Instruction)

By June 2029, Lyncourt UFSD will increase the integration of instructional technology into Tier 1 instruction to empower students as future-ready Critical Thinkers and Creative Innovators - supported by the guidance of an Instructional Technology Specialist and regular professional development around specific tools and pedagogy. To support our SCEP-aligned target of a 20% increase in reading and math proficiency, the Tech Committee will measure progress via a 10% year-over-year increase (up to 90%) in the active adoption of grade-band platforms, using ClassLink Analytics+ to track targeted categories including Learning Management Systems (Google Classroom/SeeSaw), Computer-Based Testing readiness (Castle Learning), AI platforms (SchoolAI), and Keyboarding (Typesy).

3. Digital Capacity and Access (Infrastructure)

By June 2029, Lyncourt UFSD will ensure equitable digital access by maintaining a sustainable, secure 1:1 device program and reliable network infrastructure for all PreK-8 students and instructional staff. Success will be measured by maintaining a 100% device assignment rate, and by the creation and annual execution of a formalized, long-range hardware replacement and maintenance cycle that ensures all classroom technology remains updated, filtered, and fully functional.

What is an Instructional Technology Plan?

District Instructional Technology Plans, required by Commissioner’s Regulation 100.12, will support the mission of the NYS Board of Regents, which is to ensure that every child has equitable access to the highest quality educational opportunities, services, and supports in schools that provide effective instruction aligned to the state’s standards, as well as positive learning environments, so that each child is prepared for success in college, career, and citizenship.

Through District Instructional Technology Plans and related data collections, districts will address how they are meeting the Educational Technology expectations of the Board of Regents, as articulated in the Statewide Learning Technology Plan
Goals of the NYS Board of Regents Statewide Learning Technology Plan (2010):
