PARP 2019 “Reading is Magic” March 1st - March 15th

Parents As Reading Partners (PARP) is a two week program which encourages children to read at home with their parents or other adults or older siblings.  We are asking our families to set aside at least 15 minutes a day to read together.  Here’s how it works:

Set up a routine at home.  This means reading to your little one, listening to your older child read, or sharing the fun by taking turns reading every other page.  You can even read your own book silently, while your child does the same, sitting together.

Each night after reading please record the number of minutes read.  Return your reading log on March 13th, and don’t forget to SIGN IT!  A completed reading log will allow your child to be entered into a prize drawing.  Don’t forget to check the PARP calendar for other fun contests and daily activities.

On March 15th, our exciting, culminating event will occur---- a visit from author, Bruce Coville!!! Mr. Coville will be meeting with all grade levels to give a special presentation.
