Time to register for UPK and K for fall.

The Lyncourt UFSD is preparing for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Registration for the 2020-2021 school year. All students born on or before December 1, 2015, are eligible to register for kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year. Students born on or before December 1, 2016, are eligible to register for pre-kindergarten 4-year old program.

Step 1:  Download and complete the registration packet (Click the link in blue)  Registration Packet. Please select appropriate grade.

Step 2:   Mail packet back in to Lyncourt School Attention Beth Cusick with all required documents. (see below)

• Birth Certificate
• Recent Immunization Records. 
• Previous School Records if applicable.  If your child received special education services, please bring a copy of a current IEP/504 plan.
• Custody Agreement and/or Court Order (if applicable)
• Proof of Residency i.e. current lease or rental agreement, tax bill, pay stub, etc. (TWO FORMS ARE REQUIRED)
• Parent/Guardian Photo Identification, i.e. license, employer ID, etc.

During your Step 2, I will review the registration packet you previously filled out and all the required documentation.  I will call you to set up a phone review of the paperwork. 

UPK Age Requirement: According to New York State regulations,  Section 3602-e of Education Law defines an "eligible child" as a child who resides within a UPK participating school district and who is four-years of age on or before December 1st or otherwise eligible to attend kindergarten the following school year.  (There are two Pre-K 4-year-old classrooms; with a maximum of 18 students in each class.) 

  Please note that children that attend a private, parochial or charter school must also register at the district office.
