Oobleck...What is it?

Students in Ms. Horton's science class had to determine whether Oobleck is a solid or a liquid.  Okay, so first you have to ask, what is Oobleck?  Well, it's a non-newtonian fluid.  Okay, so that's not much clearer.  It gets its name from the Dr. Seuss book Bartholomew and the Oobleck where a gooey green substance, Oobleck, fell from the sky and wreaked havoc in the kingdom. If I tell you anymore, you'll know what it is so you'll have to ask your child what the answer is for we will never tell.
