Sheep Eye Dissection
One way to figure out how something works is to look inside it. That's exactly what students in Ms. Eriksons Science class did. Students worked in small groups and each group dissected a sheep's eye. Step one was to examine the outside of the eye. After examination, they were able to find the sclera, cornea, and the fat and muscle surrounding the eye. They could also see the iris and the pupil. Step two was to cut away any fat and muscle. Step three was making an incision through the sclera. This gave the students the opportunity to see the optic nerve, tapetum, and lens. Awesome learning experience.
